LIFT TICKETS WILL NEED TO BE PURCHASED SEPERATELY. 

This is a 6 hour group snowboard lesson for 7-12 year olds, including a 1 hour supervised break with lunch! Available as Level 1 and 2 only.

Give your child a passion for the snow and watch them develop a love of skiing in a group Lesson. Enjoy a fun filled day with our talented instructors that are committed to providing your child with a safe and fun experience.

The lesson also includes a 1 hour supervised break with lunch provided for the kids to enjoy.

Lift Pass, Snowboard Hire and Helmets are not inlcuded.

Group lessons are only available for level 1 and 2 students. If your child requires a higher level, you will need to book them into a private lesson

Snowboard Skills Progression

Level 1

First Time Snowboarder
You:
  • Know your equipment
  • Can demonstrate basic skating (one foot), stance, side slipping on heel-side or toe-side and safe falling.
  • Know the Mountain Responsibility Code (Safety on the slopes)

Level 2

Beginner Snowboarder
You:
  • Can demonstrate skating and heel-side and toe-side direction change (one foot)
  • Can demonstrate heel-side AND toe-side side slipping,  “falling leaf” and garlands
  • Know the Mountain Responsibility Code (Safety on the slopes)

Level 3

Intermediate Snowboarder
You:
  • Can ride lifts (platter / button drag lifts)
  • Can demonstrate more confident garlands, C-turns, Basic S-turn
  • Can demonstrate beginner park skills*
*optional learning path

Level 4

Advanced Snowboarder
You:
  • Demonstrate full S-turns (open and closed), technique (such as physical stance, rolling of edges, separation, riding switch, carving)
  • Understand snowboard physics (i.e. flex)
  • Can demonstrate advanced park skills*
*optional learning path

 

Please carefully read our T&Cs below:  
  1. All lessons do not include a lift pass for the day. Lift passes will need to be purchased separately. Lift tickets are a requirement in all lessons. 
  2. Please note that ski/snowboard hire is not included in the price and must be arranged separately.  
  3. To pre-book equipment hire or for more information please follow the link mountbawbaw.com.au/rentals. 
  4. Please allow at least 1 hour to collect your equipment as it can be busy it also takes some time to ensure everything is comfortable.  
  5. Everyone MUST be wearing a helmet to join the lesson. Helmets are available to hire from our retail store.
  6. Please arrive at the snow sports ticket office ready with all your equipment at least 30 minutes prior to your lesson start time. A grace period of 10 minutes applies if you are late to your lesson, however we cannot guarantee that you will be able to join after this time. We will try our best to find an alternate lesson slot, however, please keep in mind this is not guaranteed and we are unable to provide refunds. 
  7. Drink and toilet breaks will be taken throughout a childrens lesson upon the instructors discretion. 
  8. Refunds will not be provided for cancellation on day of lesson.
